Islamabad Invited Iranian Investors to Take Part in Pakistan's Oil, Gas Sector
Pakistan's Senate Chairman Farooq H Naek invited Iranian investment and business community to invest in his country's oil and gas sector

Pakistan's Senate Chairman Farooq H Naek on Friday appraised the Iranian parliamentary delegation about devastation and damage caused by the recent torrential rains and floods in Pakistan.
He also invited Iranian investment and business community to invest in the field of oil exploration adding that there were tremendous opportunities of investment in Pakistan, particularly in the oil and gas sector.
Naek was talking to the high-level Iranian parliamentary delegation that called on him at the Parliament House.
Chairman of the Parliament’s Upper House said Parliament symbolized will and strength of the people and the strong bond of friendship and brotherhood between the two neighboring countries must be manifested through closer parliamentary contacts.
He underlined the need of more frequent parliamentary exchanges between Pakistan and Iran for the two countries’ mutual advantage. He said exchange of such high level visits helped promote better understanding of each other’s cultures and systems.
Naek also apprised the delegation of devastation and damaged caused by the recent torrential rains and flood in Pakistan.
Ali Aghaei, Representative of the Islamic Consultative Assembly of Iran and head of the delegation, while reciprocating the gesture said his colleagues and he were pleased to visit Pakistan, particularly the Senate. He said that relations between Iran and Pakistan would strengthen further in the days to come.
He on behalf of his delegation, leadership, government and people of Iran expressed deep grief at the tragic loss and suffering that Pakistan has been experiencing as a result of the ongoing devastating floods.
He assured his government’s full support in meeting the challenges.
He also briefed the Chairman on his delegation’s visit to different camps of the flood-affected people at Karachi. Representatives of the Islamic Consultative Assembly of the Islamic Republic of Iran like Ali Aghaei, Abdullah Rastgar, Gholamreza Karami and Hamed Raza Pashang were part of the delegation that met Chairman Senate. Senator Syed Nayyer Hussain Bokhari, Leader of the House in Senate, Senators Zafar Ali Shah, Zahid Khan, Dr. Muhammad Ismail Buledi, Secretary Senate, Raja Muhammad Amin and Mashallah Shakeri, Ambassador of Iran to Pakistan also attended the meeting.
