Fuzan 1-D is a tin-lead-silver dispensing paste (Sn62Pb36Ag2, 89.5% metal by mass, Type 3 24–45 µm / Type 4 20–38 µm powder) developed specifically for pneumatic and volumetric dispensing equipment rather than stencil printing. It is halogen-free, classified ROL0, and leaves minimal flux residue after soldering (52% residue in the IPC ICA test) so that reflow can be carried out in air without a wash step, though Clarix cleaning fluids can be used afterward if desired. The paste passed Bellcore and J-STD-005 (IPC-TM-650) qualification testing, including slump, solder-ball, wetting, surface insulation resistance, and electrochemical migration tests, all rated satisfactory, with a Malcolm viscosity of 110–150 Pa·s. Recommended reflow parameters include a 0.5–1 °C/s preheat ramp, a peak 25–45 °C above the alloy's melting point (215 °C shown on the datasheet), 45–90 seconds above liquidus, and rapid cooling below 4 °C/s for a fine-grain, fatigue-resistant joint. Supplied in 10 cc (25 g) syringes, stored below 10 °C for a 12-month shelf life; syringes should be kept tip-down and warmed to ambient before use.
