The theme of the eighth Imam has always been a spiritual refuge for Shiite world. With the establishment of the Islamic Republic Regime in our country and assignment of a competent and capable manager as the head of Astan Qods Razavi organizations this role got a special prominence, and Razavi’s holy shrine reached a very privileged position as a center of propagation of Shiite culture and knowledge. In fact it was with the belief to the this capacity that the Great Superintendence of Astan Qods Razavi, the Excellency Ayatollah Vaez Tabasi, from the early years of his responsibility in this noble area designed and implemented a comprehensive development plan for services of this spirituality center, and with the auspices of the eighth Imam thousands greets upon him achieved tremendous successes over this few years. In this period the feature of this religious establishment was completely changed, and became the world's largest Muslim pilgrimage center. At the shrine itself formation of Darolvelayeh, Darolrahmeh, Darolhedayeh, Darolhekmeh, Darolhojeh porches and the large porch of Imam Khomeini, Design and construction of new enshrine, implementation of the great plan of Strength of the old structures, construction of Jomhouri, Qods, Qadir, Kousar and Hedayat aprons, and some very wide entrances such as Sheikh Tousi entrance, Sheikh Tabarsi entrance, entrances to Inghelab and Hedayat aprons and so on and new …. like Sheikh Bahayi, Sheikh Tousi and the guesthouse, health and therapeutic services centers, Razavi central exhibition, servants hospice are some the achievements of this period.

Other cultural projects that have been implemented in various ways in order to promote knowledge of Razavi also have elevated the position of this sacred institution at the national and international level. Some the achievements in this area are: Razavi Islamic University, Islamic Research Foundation, Deputy of Islamic Advertising and Communications, Management Center of Khorasan Seminary, Museums, Libraries, and the Secretariat of Supreme Council of Culture.

Razavi cultural services are not limited to the implementation of the large projects that have already been briefly mentioned. Important cultural institutions in Islamic Iran have been always the best examples of efforts in this period of time. In this regard, we can mention different levels of educational institutions from preschool to university with nearly ten thousand scholars and Student accommodations especially in deprived districts. Also we can mention Institutions in the field of periodical magazine publishing and printing or publishing books, youth consultation, social researches, medical matters (Razavi's unique hospital), physical education (construction of major stadiums) and also name the very useful welfare centers on the roads leading to Mashad, especially in South Khorasan which serve the pilgrims of Imam Reza and finally, the massive reconstruction and development project of the Hosein Ibn Musa Kazem's shrine which is a honorific operation in order to provide serve the Razavi’s pilgrims and also depriving people of South Khorasan. Construction of mosques, religious schools, public libraries, book distribution centers are some the beneficial efforts has been made in every part of the country from the early years or revolution. Maintain endowments and spend their earnings in the cases set out by the founders has always been a top priority for the Great Superintendence of Astan Qods Razavi. Determining the limits of estates and lands and providing registered detailed maps of each endowment have been heavy duty that with praise to God has greatly been come off. Accurate determination of the revenues of endowments is also represents a large chapter, which has been accomplished from the early years of the Islamic Revolution in cooperation with the university and seminary professors with the direct supervision of the Great Superintendence. It’s been for years now that Astan Qods Razavi along with its annual budget prepares the endowments budget and it has to be approved by the Great Superintendence. One of the important tasks of Astan Qods Razavi as a nongovernmental institution that holds the greatest volume of endowments in the country is to reconstruct the endowments and maximize the utilization of properties and endowments. In the current situation that Astan Qods Razavi holds the heavy burden of responsibilities of numerous cultural institutions without the help of the government, this issue has got a particular importance. In fact the economic sector of Astan Qods Razavi always defined as a financial support for cultural services and therefore has to take the most effort to be sure that cultural officials do not confront with the lack of financial resources in their advanced programs. In order to do this task Astan Qods Razavi attempts in the last thirty years has been very responsible and successful and made the most efforts based on the facilities and conditions of time and place. Parallel to the development of Astan Qods facilities that has been done due to the tireless efforts of faithful and capable management, special structures has been defined to manage this part of work. Formation of economic institution that separate from each other do different and sometimes the same jobs was the initial problem of economic activities of Astan Qods. Gradually and with the rapid growth of this sector of activity, we got the idea of creating a more coherent system for coordination among various companies and institution and as a result the economic holding was formed. The experience of economic organization (uni-set) in this area in recent years has been a successful one, and maintaining it with some reforms in the statute of the aforementioned institute was approved. Compliance the objectives of twenty-year outlook plan of Astan Qods Razavi, is one of the causes of reforming the statute of the economic organization. It is hoped that Astan Qods Razavi always be successful in performing its tasks and playing an effective role in strengthening the Islamic regime, and its services provide the satisfactory of honorable infallibles (peace be upon them) and the Great leader of Islamic Revolution
