A pH-neutral, water-soluble wave soldering flux with high activity and low solids, giving up to 48 hours of cosmetic residue stability before an easy water wash.

Fuzan 95-W is a water-soluble, high-activity flux for wave soldering, classified ORH1 under J-STD-004A, with a low solids content of 19.5% and a pH-neutral formulation from clear to light amber in color. It works equally well with tin-lead and lead-free alloys across wave soldering of through-hole, mixed-technology, and surface-mount assemblies, and its reduced solids content makes it particularly well suited to spray application, alongside conventional foam fluxing. Residue can remain on the board for up to 48 hours without affecting cosmetic appearance, after which it washes off cleanly with water at 49–60 °C — giving assembly lines flexibility to batch their cleaning cycles. The flux leaves surfaces with high surface insulation resistance and is biodegradable, though its low flash point (12 °C) means it should be handled and stored with the same precautions as other low-flash-point fluxes: in a dry, well-ventilated area away from sparks, flame, and direct heat. Fluxing equipment should be cleaned regularly to remove debris, oil, and water, and the foam stone (if foam fluxing) cleaned whenever the flux is changed or as needed, with flux replacement recommended every 40 hours of operation.
