Vestro 1S is a flammable stripping solution formulated specifically to remove fully cured Vestro UR polyurethane conformal coating from printed circuit boards for rework or repair. It has a density of 1.1 ± 0.05 g/cm³, neutral pH, flash point of 87 °C, and a clear appearance, and fully dissolves a cured Vestro UR film after roughly 20 minutes of contact — applied to the coated area, left to dwell for 10–20 minutes, then the softened lacquer is removed with a brush or cotton swab and any residue cleared with isopropyl alcohol or deionized water. No heat is required for the stripping action itself, though an optional 40–45 °C boost can speed the process; after cleaning, boards should be dried for 30 minutes at 60–65 °C to remove residual moisture before returning to production. Shelf life is 12 months. Because it is a combustible solution, it should be used only in well-ventilated areas with gloves and eye protection, with skin or eye contact rinsed immediately with water and prolonged vapor inhalation avoided; unused product should be disposed of per applicable environmental regulations, and the safety data sheet (MSDS) consulted for full handling guidance.
