Ammonium bi sulphite Nickel catalysed is widely used in oil field as oxygen scavenger and/or corrosion inhibitor. Its function is to remove oxygen from the water. Generally for 1 ppm of dissolved oxygen in water with retention of 5 mints the ABS used will be 9.5ppm Max. As it is Nickel catalysed the consumption or the reaction time may reduce depending on application. Other than this there are several more application like in Photography industry, Agro industry, and Pharmaceutical industry and as a specialty chemicals.
