Description of Overhead Travelling Crane

Single girder overhead crane is the most effective hoisting equipment used in plant or workshop. Overhead crane can travel on top of runway, so it’s also called bridge crane. There is also another type of overhead crane called single girder underhung/suspension crane. It travels under the runway which is fixed on roof of plant. With single girder overhead crane, you can achieve six motions: up, down, left, right, forward,back.
