Functional Nutrition
1. Growing interest in plant-based nutrition: Veganism and vegetarianism have become increasingly popular, leading to higher demand for plant-based products and meat alternatives, such as tofu, seitan, and plant-based burgers. There is also growing interest in plant-based dairy products like almond milk, coconut milk, and soy milk.
2. Functional Nutrition: Consumers are actively seeking foods that are not only tasty but also offer additional health benefits, such as high-protein, low-sugar products with added vitamins and minerals.
3. Healthy Snacks and Packaged Foods: Interest in convenient and healthy snacks that can be taken on the go or to work has increased. These include fruits and nuts, healthy bars, vegetable chips, and other alternatives to typical snacks.
4. Specialized Diets: Demand for products that meet specific diets, such as keto, paleo, gluten-free, and lactose-free diets, remains high. Consumers seek products that cater to their individual needs and preferences.
