MoMochi Ice Cream, LLC

MoMochi Ice Cream, LLC is a Russian premium dessert company specializing in mochi ice cream, marketed locally as “modji” – natural ice cream wrapped in a thin layer of sweet rice dough.

The brand’s story began in 2014, when the founders signed an exclusive contract with Bubbies, a Hawaii‑based pioneer and global leader in mochi ice cream, and started importing its products to Russia. Over more than ten years of cooperation, the team studied production processes in depth, including recipe development, equipment requirements, and the selection of high‑quality ingredients, while simultaneously building a consumer base among Russian gourmets, chefs, and HoReCa partners.

As the category developed, MoMochi coined the term “modji” to distinguish its premium mochi‑ice‑cream concept, emphasizing that it is real dairy ice cream made from whole milk, not cheese or jam‑filled pastries, and this term later became generic in the Russian market. After the partnership with Bubbies ended, the company used the experience accumulated over a decade to launch its own dessert line under the MoMochi brand, focusing on natural composition, bright flavors, and modern visual identity.

Today MoMochi Ice Cream, LLC operates as a vertically integrated brand that combines product development, production under certified standards, and distribution to both B2B (HoReCa, retail chains, specialty stores) and B2C channels across Russia. The brand positions MoMochi as “ice cream of the future”: a portion‑controlled, handheld dessert that does not require cutlery and can be eaten without mess, which fits perfectly with urban lifestyles, social media culture, and the demand for convenient premium treats.

MoMochi actively collaborates with restaurant groups and café chains, appears in beauty and spa segments, and maintains a strong presence on digital platforms such as Instagram, YouTube, and delivery services to engage its young, trend‑oriented audience. The company’s core values are naturalness, taste, and quality, which are expressed through careful ingredient sourcing, aesthetically designed packaging, and consistent product standards supported by Russian and Eurasian certifications.
